flkeys.app is an independent platform providing Florida Keys intelligence, conditions, and community for tourists and locals. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello@flkeys.app.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use flkeys.app:
- Email address — when you create an account
- Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We never store your card details.
- Usage data — features you use, questions asked of The Local AI, fish photos uploaded for identification
- Device information — browser type, device type, approximate location (if you grant permission)
- Community posts — content you post in The Speakeasy or community feed
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve flkeys.app services
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, payment receipts)
- Power The Local AI with your questions (queries are sent to Anthropic's Claude API)
- Display your posts in the community feed and The Speakeasy
- Analyze usage patterns to improve the app
4. AI and Fish ID
When you use The Local AI or Fish ID, your questions and photos are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Photos are used only for identification and are not stored permanently. We do not use your conversations to train AI models. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to data processed through their API.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Stripe — for payment processing
- Supabase — for secure database storage
- Anthropic — for AI features (The Local and Fish ID)
- Vercel — for app hosting
- Google — for Places API business data
We do not share your data with advertisers. flkeys.app is ad-free.
6. Community Content
Posts in The Speakeasy and community feed are visible to other members of flkeys.app. Anonymous posts display as 'Anonymous Local.' Custom name posts display the name you choose. You can delete your own posts at any time. We reserve the right to remove posts that violate our community guidelines.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Community posts may be retained in anonymized form. Payment records are retained as required by law.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your data
- Opt out of non-transactional communications

9. Cookies
flkeys.app uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use Supabase for authentication which sets a session cookie to keep you logged in.
10. Children's Privacy
flkeys.app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@flkeys.app and we will delete it.
11. Security
We take security seriously. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers. We use Supabase Row Level Security to ensure users can only access their own data.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice in the app. Your continued use of flkeys.app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
